A calculation model is developed and a numerical study is performed of heat- and mass-transfer characteristics of a turbulent gas-steam-drop flow moving through a round pipe. In the model, evaporation of drops, steam diffusion into air and acceleration of flow-carrier are taken into account. Comparison of the predicted heat- and mass-transfer rates with available experimental and numerical data is performed. Generally, the evaporation of drops in a steam-gas flow enhances heat transfer compared to the case of a single-component steam-drop flow or a single-phase steam flow.
