This paper presents experimental methods for studies of dispersed liquid/liquid upflows. Water was the continuous phase and mineral oil was the dispersed droplet phase. New methods for measurement of the mean velocity and turbulence fields, the size distribution and volume fraction of the oil droplets, and the interfacial area density distribution using fiber optic Laser Doppler Anemometer (LDA) and phase Doppler Anemometer (PDA) systems were developed
