The mathematical model of heat and mass transfer in the high-temperature cyclone with evaporation of water droplets is offered. The considered apparatus is intended for cooling the input gas on some hundreds of degrees because of the loss of energy on evaporation. The system of equations which determines the trajectory of a droplet, its temperature, reduction of a droplet size because of water evaporation from its surface, and also equations for average moisture and temperature of a vapor-gas mixture on a cross-section of working chamber is written out.

The solutions of the mathematical problems is obtained by iterative numerical methods.

The constructed mathematical model may be used for the choice of optimum technological conditions for cooling of gas in cyclones.
