On Inverse Boundary-value Problems of Aerohydrodynamics

Il'inskiy N. B.

In the last decade in our country as well as abroad considerable advances have been made in developing and applying numerical-analytical methods for aerodynamic shape design of airfoils, hydrofoils, cascades of turbine motors and interface vehicles. The foundations of the inverse boundary-value problems of aerohydrodynamics (IBVPA) were laid in the late thirties -- early fifties by A.~Betz, W.~Mangler, G.G.~Tumashev, M.~Lighthill, L.A.~ Simonov, G.Yu.~ Stepanov, R.~Eppler, V.M.~Shurigin, R.B.~Salimov et al. For the last years a contribution to these investigations has been made by a group of researchers from Chebotarev institute of mathematics and mechanics of Kazan state university. The achievements of the group are based on the strict mathematical theory of inverse boundary-value problems (IBVP) for analytic functions that was developed by M.T.~Nuzhin, F.D.~Gakhov, S.N.~Andrianov, L.A.~Aksentiev et al.
