This paper presents an analytical derivation of the interfacial momentum transfers, the interfacial-induced turbulence, and the associated phasic lateral forces for wavy annual flow. In addition, a derivation is presented for the interfacial area transport equation for wavy annual flow. These results are given in a form that is consistent with their use in multidimensional two-fluid models, and conclusions are reached concerning the significance of the analytical expressions which were derived.
